Why Choose Us?
Nepal always has been a Tapobhumi (land of ardor and enlightenment) for great Rishis and Shiddhas. The Himalayas, mountains, forests, and shrines act as great sources of inspiration and provided most congenial ambience for seekers and seers. Nepal thus cultivated, flourished and consolidated many spiritual paths for enlightenment and God Realization and the shrine of Bhagawan Shree Pashupatinath has been the common centre for all pilgrims and self-seekers treading diverse paths and philosophies. Recent example of this phenomenon is the final choice and goal of “The Long Pilgrimage” taken by Shivapuri Baba, Khaptad Baba, and Shyam Chetan Baba who spent last years of their earthy life at Pashupati area.
Recently modernization process in Nepal gave rise to many challenges in preserving the ancient and traditional values embedded in the arts, crafts, and monuments of religious and spiritual significance and esoteric meanings.
One of them was the disruption of daily worship of ShreePashupatinath and Bashuki Naag at Pashupati in 2008 A.D. This disruption hurt the religious sentiments of devout Hindus. It was in this background that Shree Pashupati Archana Suvyawastha Pratishthan (SPASP) was conceived and established in 2009 A.D.to work for uninterrupted puja and continuation of the traditions intact. In order to plan and implement the objectives and activities of the Pratishthan effectively and smoothly meetings were held with concerned authorities including the then President, Prime minister and minister in charge.
